ArmInfo.The Azerbaijani court has once again extended the pre-trial detention of Ruben Vardanyan,  Armenian philanthropist, and former State Minister of Artsakh, who has been illegally detained in Baku since September 27, 2023.

ArmInfo.While Yerevan was content with formal documents, Baku actively worked to ensure that  Armenia's allies supported Azerbaijan, and at least took a neutral position. This is how political scientist Sergei Melkonyan commented on the visit of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko to Baku and  what was done during the visit.

ArmInfo. On May 15 political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan were held in Yerevan. The consultations from the Armenian side were led by Vahan Kostanyan, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia. The Jordanian side was represented by Majed Thalji Al-Qatarneh, the Secretary General for Diplomatic and Expatriate Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

This is stated in a statement by the press service of Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia Gnel Sanosyan, issued after an investigative  article by Hetq that the minister's mother is building a mansion  worth $230 thousand.

ArmInfo. After the signing ceremony of the Oviedo Convention, the Minister of Foreign Affairs  Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with the Secretary General of the  Council of Europe Marija Pejcinovic Buric.

ArmInfo. The Investigative Committee of Armenia initiated a criminal case on the fact of the  actions of the police in Kirantsi. This was stated by the coordinator  of the "Hayakwe" initiative, Avetik Chalabyan, on May 16 during a  conversation with journalists. He said that a criminal case was  initiated under 2 articles - abuse of official power and obstruction  of the activities of the media.

ArmInfo. The Azerbaijani puppet court extended the illegal arrest of Ruben Vardanyan for another 5  months. Vardanyan's defense report notes that this decision is illegal and  unfounded.

ArmInfo. All the tools for expressing no confidence in the Prime Minister will be used -  impeachment, popular pressure, etc. This was stated by opposition MP,  member of the Tavush for the Motherland movement Garnik Danielyan.

ArmInfo. The Azerbaijani side is inclined to continue the process of delimitation with Armenia in the  same format and with the same algorithm that we used this time in the  Tavush region of Armenia and the Gazakh region of Azerbaijan. Deputy  Prime Minister, Chairman of the Commission on Border Delimitation  with Azerbaijan Mher Grigoryan stated on May 16 during a meeting of  the RA government.

ArmInfo. On May 16, during the working visit to Strasbourg, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia  Ararat Mirzoyan signed the Convention for the Protection of Human  Rights and Dignity of the Human Being with regard to the Application  of Biology and Medicine (Oviedo Convention), the press service of the  RA MFA reports.
